Executive Summary
CooperSurgical has sold its non-strategic Meditron line of gastroenterology endoscopy products to Nexcore Technologies, in order to focus on its core women’s health business. The Trumbull, Connecticut-based firm will now concentrate on its cervical care, neonatal and assisted reproduction technologies. Medtech OEM Nexcore gains a range of pumps, probes and electrosurgical generators that were already manufactured at its Waldwick, New Jersey facility. Nexcore’s existing product portfolio includes electronically-controlled pumps, endoscopic light sources, energy generators and power sources, fluid management and fluid monitoring systems, hydrothermal ablation systems, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic insufflators, and vital sign diagnostics systems. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
