Brazil is the latest country to join LabTests Online, the diagnostics-related healthcare public information service. The Portuguese-language version, available at www.labtestsonline.org.br, is the result of a collaboration between the national society for clinical pathology (SBPC/ML) and the national diagnostics industry association, Câmara Brasileira de Diagnstico Laboratorial (CBDL). Brazil joins Australia, China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Spain and the UK in adopting the service, as well as the US, where it was launched in 2001 by the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC). In the first half of 2010, the US site recorded 12 million web visits, the CBDL reports.
