Intravenous medication robot manufacturer Health Robotics (Bozen, Italy) is to take its CytoCare system to Spain and Portugal after signing an exclusive deal with healthcare firm Grifols. The CytoCare system carries out automated compounding of hazardous, patient-specific intravenous fluids for use in cancer care. The first instalment of the product in the two countries will be at the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Catalonia. Barcelona-based Grifols also distributes Health Robotics’ i.v.STATION, which provides automated compounding of non-hazardous IV fluids.
