Scott Durbin becomes Aastrom CFO

Executive Summary

Cell therapy specialist Aastrom Biosciences has appointed Scott Durbin to the position of CFO. Prior to joining Aastrom, Mr Durbin was chief operating officer and CFO of Prescient Medical, a specialist in diagnostic and therapeutic catheter-based devices for the treatment of severe coronary artery disease. Mr Durbin will help Aastrom (Ann Arbor, Michigan) advance its autologous cellular therapies for the treatment of severe cardiovascular diseases through late-stage clinical development. In September 2009, Aastrom reshuffled its management team, with Timothy Mayleben becoming CEO (www.clinica.co.uk, 4 September 2009).
