Executive Summary
Sectra's picture archiving and communications system (PACS) is to be installed across the Skåne region in southern Sweden. The installation will be overseen by Region Skåne, the area's council, which provides healthcare and dental services, among others. In an extension of an agreement signed with Linköping-based Sectra in 2008, which covered the university hospitals of Malmö and Lund, Sectra's PACS will now be introduced at hospitals in ängelholm, Hässleholm, Helsingborg, Kristianstad, Trelleborg and Ystad. More than 900,000 radiology examinations are said to take place in Skåne each year.
