In the first results since its July flotation, technology transfer company BTG has reported a lower-than-anticipated loss for the six months to September. The UK company's after-tax loss was £2.1 million ($3.2 million) compared with an after-tax profit of £290,000 a year earlier. Turnover was down to £8.8 million from £11.8 million in the first half of fiscal 1994 due to the expiry of major insecticide patents.
