Entering the European market, US diagnostics company Editek presented its drugs-of-abuse tests at Medica. Its product line includes the SingleStep ELISAs to screen for CNS drugs, hormones, narcotics, and renal, respiratory and circulatory drugs. Other assays include the one-step Verdict tests for opiates, THC and cocaine. In the US, the tests for cocaine and opiates were approved at the end of 1994.
