Scottish company Shield Diagnostics' results for the six months ended September 30th, 1995, show turnover of £2.7 million ($4.3 million), up 21% on the same period last year. This increase was due mainly to strong sales of autoimmune disease diagnostics (up 25%) and infectious disease diagnostics, principally in syphilis test sales. Pre-tax profit for the six months amounted to £43,600, compared with £19,500 for the same period last year.
