Japan's Ministry of International Trade and Industry has established a body to assist the development of the country's healthcare equipment industry. The Healthcare/Welfare Equipment Forum, which is composed of equipment manufacturers, industry associations, research organisations and testing bodies, plans to conduct market research surveys on equipment requirements, says the Medical Equipment Journal of Japan.
