Japan's pacemaker market emerges from doldrums in 1994

Japan's implantable cardiac pacemaker market recovered strongly from the bribery scandals which beset it in the early 1990s to grow 12.8% in 1994. On an end user price basis, (equivalent to health insurance reimbursement prices) sales were ¥3,450 million ($510 million). On a unit basis, growth was 10.3%, says a market report in Japan Medical Review.
