The Valencian health authorities are to set up three new mammography units in Alicante in 1996, bringing the total to nine. The Spanish region's breast cancer campaign has so far scanned 28,000 women in its first six months. The units will cost around Pta 30 million ($240,000) a year to run, says Diario Medico.
