Executive Summary
Imagyn Medical is to manufacture its 2 mm high-resolution endoscopes under the US Surgical label. As part of an agreement between the two companies, the scope will be added to USS' Minisite line of laparoscopic products marketed worldwide. Some 80% smaller than conventional laparoscopes, the 2 mm scope will compete in a market which Imagyn estimates has a potential value of $150 million. Founded in 1989, privately-held Imagyn Medical produces minimally invasive devices for use in gynaecological surgery.
