Executive Summary
Perkin Elmer's Applied Biosystems Division (US) has added the Genotyper software to its genotyping system. The software takes the system's PCR-based DNA fragment data and transforms them into genotype results, automatically identifying and scoring alleles, equating peak ratios and determining peak statistics. Error identification features help locate genotyping errors of misinheritance. User-definable templates are included for customised analysis of DNA sizing, quantitation and pattern comparison of data.
