Executive Summary

National dental laboratory organisations in at least seven European Economic Area countries would support a ban on the use of unstable nickel dental alloys and six would consider supporting a ban on all nickel-containing dental alloys. These were the findings of the Federation of European Dental Laboratory Owners (FEPPD) presented at the European Commission's expert working group meeting on medical devices on October 10th.
