Sulzer to merge European orthopaedics businesses

Sulzermedica, the medtech arm of Swiss engineering concern Sulzer, is to merge its three European orthopaedics operations into a new company, Sulzer Orthopedics. Headed by Felix Scherrer, the new company will be part of the Sulzermedica Orthopedics division which also includes two US companies, Intermedics Orthopedics and Calcitek.
