Executive Summary
CLB Plesmanlaan has launched a T-cell activation test based on soluble CD 27. Soluble CD27 increases in patients suffering from immunopathological diseases, suggesting its use in vivo as a marker for T-cell activation. Sensitivity of the new ELISA test is 1 unit per ml, and intra- and interassay variations are less than 10%, the manufacturer claims. All necessary components are included, and the kit contains sufficient reagents for 288 tests. The assay can be performed in about four hours after overnight coating.
