Sterile Concepts buys procedure tray competitor

Sterile Concepts, which claims to be the second largest provider of custom procedure trays to US hospitals, has acquired a smaller competitor, Medical Design Concepts. Financial terms were not disclosed. The purchase increases Sterile Concepts' US market share from around 16% to 19%, says CEO Paul Woo, adding: "It provides us with a production facility and significant market presence on the west coast."
