Executive Summary

The first in a series of Good Clinical Practice training programmes designed to facilitate the harmonisation of product approval requirements between the US and Israel began in Israel in September. Co-organised by the US FDA and clinical research organisation Barnett International, the two-week courses aim to offer an introduction to the US clinical development and approval process for drugs and medical devices, which is viewed as a first step in promoting joint ventures between the two countries.
