The medical devices sector within DG III, the Commission's Directorate General for Industry headed by Norbert Anselmann, is seeking consultancy support for medical device legislation. It has published a notice in the Official Journal of the European Communities (September 13th) stating that it requires: 25 days of technical assistance with international regulatory harmonisation over the period of a year; and 50 days consultancy on IVD issues and the application of the medical device Directives. The two contracts, which could be allocated separately or together, may be renewed for two further one-year periods.
