Executive Summary
Eli Lilly's disposal of the remaining 82% of Guidant has been completed on September 18th. The offer to tender Lilly shareholders' stock for Guidant shares was oversubscribed. Lilly will accept 16.5 million of its own shares in exchange for distributing its 57.6 million Guidant shares (see Clinica No 669/70, p 19).
