More than 3,000 OrthoLogic bone growth stimulators had been prescribed for patients by August 1st, US-based OrthoLogic reports. Follow-up data received on 344 patients who have completed their treatment has shown a 78% overall heal rate at an average of 4.1 months. As a condition of its 1994 PMA approval, OrthoLogic has to maintain a registry of all patients using the device.
