Executive Summary

GE Medical Systems' (US) Proton Brain Exam (PROBE) Spectroscopy option is now commercially available for the Signa 1.5T MRI system. PROBE is said to be the first spectroscopy exam to be designed for routine use in clinical MRI sites. It can be easily added to standard MRI brain studies, since PROBE exams take less than ten minutes. Moreover, difficult system adjustments are eliminated through automated set-up.
