US law firms, battle-hardened by the silicone breast implant saga, are setting their sights on a new victim, according to the New York Times. Norplant, the silicone-coated contraceptive implant manufactured by Leiras (Finland), has been the subject of an increasing number of lawsuits since its US launch in 1991. Now fears are growing that sales in the country may be killed off.
