A US court has dismissed with prejudice a bankruptcy action brought against Medical Device Technologies by Chandler, Church & Co and two other parties (see Clinica No 653, p 13). The Southern California Bankruptcy Court ruled that the action had been filed in bad faith and that the plaintiffs must pay MDT $16,360 to cover legal fees. Compensatory and/or punitive damages may be awarded at a hearing scheduled for August 8th. Chandler Church has also been referred to the Department of Justice for investigation.
