Abbott launches amplification system and chlamydia test

Abbott has launched its DNA-amplification chlamydia test. The June 1st launch includes all less regulated markets, worldwide according to marketing manager Eric Zohare - which essentially means those outside France, Japan and the US. An Abbott spokesman told Clinica that shipment began on May 31st to Australia, Canada, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and South Africa.
