Nippon Roche (Japan) has had two diagnostic test kits approved for reimbursement in Japan. The two Amplicor PCR tests, for hepatitis C and HIV-1, have been reimbursable since May 1st at ¥14,000 ($3,700) and Yen365,000 respectively. Nippon Roche says five of its tests are now reimbursable in Japan and it is planning to extend its range.
