This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

Increasing the use of condoms to prevent the spread of sexually-transmitted diseases "remains a major challenge in many developing countries", says a recent report from Population Action International. In a survey of truck drivers in Nigeria, only 15% used condoms regularly despite having an average of six regular extramarital partners, while in Haiti only 5% of the male partners of women given condoms at a family planning clinic were using them.
