Toshiba Medical Systems Europe (the Netherlands) will launch a general purpose digital C-arm angiography system in June. The CAS-8000V, which will be shown at the Roentgen Centenary Congress in Birmingham, UK, features power-assisted movement and three axes of rotation. The system can be used for bolus chasing/stepping digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and high-speed rotational DSA allows three-dimensional posterior-anterior views to be obtained with a single contrast injection, says Toshiba. The C-arm system is part of the Angiorex General system which features Toshiba's one-million pixel CCD camera.
