Biocompatibles (UK) has launched an antiproliferative coating for coronary stents. The polymer contains phosphorylcholine, which is believed to control compatibility at the cellular level. The company, which purchased Virginia-based Lombart Lenses last year, recently launched a phosphorylcholine-polymer contact lens in Europe and Canada (see Clinica No 624, p 14).
