Executive Summary
Injunctions preventing Murex Diagnostics and Organon Teknika from manufacturing and selling hepatitis C test kits in the UK will remain in force until at least the fourth quarter of 1995. This follows a decision by the two companies to withdraw their appeals against the High Court's decision to grant injunctions to Ortho Diagnostics and Chiron in November (see Clinica No 632, p 13). An earlier appeal by Murex and Organon against the original infringement ruling concerning Chiron's UK HCV patent will be heard separately in October.
