Insalud's investment budget rises despite cuts:

Insalud's investment budget for this year includes over Pta 6,000 million ($45 million) for equipment in post-reform hospitals in Spain. The health insurance agency's capital investment budget will be Pta 39,324 million and will not be affected by government cutbacks, according to press reports. Over half is targeted for specialist hospital restructuring. Some 57 hospitals and healthcare centres in 15 regions will benefit. Insalud controls health spending for about 40% of the population.
