Executive Summary
The US Administration seems to be making medical device user fees a high priority for the Food & Drug Administration next year, reports Clinica's Washington correspondent, Duffy Miller. The budget sent to Congress by President Clinton on February 6th stipulates that about one-eighth of the Center for Devices & Radiological Health's $199 million allocation for fiscal 1996 would come from user fees. The Center currently has a $166 million budget - without fees.
