Executive Summary
Avitar has begun to market its saliva collection system for use in DNA testing. The system will be sold for use as a component in DNA amplification techniques for the detection of genetic and infectious diseases as well as determining paternity. Avitar expanded its presence in the rapid diagnostic test market through the stock purchase of Genua (see Clinica No 730, p 13).
