Toshiba's Opart Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) cleared by FDA

Toshiba America Medical Systems has received FDA clearance to market its Opart open, super-conducting MRI system. Opart's open design provides patient access from all four sides and allows scanning while the patient is still connected to ancillary MRI-compatible monitoring equipment. It also has a lateral moving table which facilitates patient positioning.
