Chrono-log has launched a device for testing the effects of anti-platelet drugs by measuring platelet aggregation directly in whole blood. The aggregometer saves time by eliminating the need for plasma preparation and obtains results in about six minutes. Chrono-log, based in Havertown, Pennsylvania, is providing two models, the 591 single-channel and the 592 dual- channel units.
