Biometric Imaging is to develop applications of its Imagn 2000 microvolume fluorometry cellular analysis technology for Chiron under a preferred partnership agreement. Microvolume fluorometry is a laser-based imaging system for detecting fluorescently-tagged cells held in stasis in a small volume of media. Chiron has made an undisclosed equity investment in Biometric, in exchange for first refusal on applications in oncology, infectious disease and haematopoietic cells.
