Toshiba has reported strong sales growth in the first fiscal half for its information/communication systems division as a result mainly of buoyant demand for personal computers. Revenues in the division which includes Toshiba's medical imaging business increased 16% to ¥,092 billion ($10 billion) in the six months to the end of September. Toshiba's total sales were up 4% to Yen1,750 billion and net income increased 18% to Yen29 billion.
