Kyowa Medex goes international with cholesterol test

Kyowa Medex has appointed Boehringer Mannheim as the distributor in the US and Europe for its Determiner HDL-C cholesterol test, reports Japan Medical Review. European sales have already begun, and the Japanese company expects US FDA approval during the autumn. The test was introduced in South Korea in June and a launch is scheduled in Taiwan during September. Negotiations are under way with a potential distributor in China.
