Automated-billing specialist Cerner has set up a subsidiary to generate and evaluate outcomes data. Cerner Health Facts will use clients' automated claims billing systems to provide information on clinical, economic, process, functional and patient satisfaction outcomes. Cerner has included a data rights clause in all billing contracts signed in the past two years, giving it a pool of around 20 clients.
