Hewlett-Packard has struck a risk-sharing agreement with the Ochsner Foundation Hospital in Louisiana. Under the deal Ochsner only pays for HP critical care patient-monitoring equipment when it is used. The seven-year capitation deal ties the cost of $2 million worth of HP monitoring equipment to patient numbers.
