The French TIPS committee has established maximum reimbursement levels for heart valves on sale in France. Prices will come into force at the end of September 1996. Heart valves classified under section III (implantable medical devices derived from human tissue), chapter I (implantable medical devices not derived from biological tissue), are reimbursed at the following prices:
