EndoSonics has sold new shares representing some 40% of CardioVascular Dynamics (CVD) in an initial public offering, beginning the process of spinning off its subsidiary. Based in Irvine, California, the catheter developer was a majority-owned subsidiary of EndoSonics, whose stake declined from 84% to 49% after the offering.
