The Lit 700 billion ($450 million) worth of state funds set aside for Italian Regions to take out loans to repay some of the Lit 6,000 million of pre-1995 debts accrued is expected soon. The government is likely to issue a decree-law (intended for urgent measures) before the end of the month, reports Il Sole-24 Ore.
