UK supermarket chain Safeway is offering H pylori testing at five of its London stores. Safeway launched a pilot allergy testing service at the same stores in May (see Clinica No 707, p 17). UK supermarkets are challenging retail pharmacists in a number of areas and have been accused of cherry picking high volume OTC pharmaceuticals to sell as loss leaders.
