Interactive Medical Technologies (US) has been awarded a grant from the US National Institutes of Health for studies of the company's diagnostic imaging microsphere technology. The grant provides $100,000 in Phase I funding to prove the scientific principle underlying the microsphere technology through pre-clinical tests. Phase II of the grant provides up to $750,000 to be used for pre-clinical studies of various imaging applications. Simultaneously, Phase I studies for the detection of pulmonary embolism under an agreement with E-Z-EM are being conducted.
