Continuing its strategy of expansion in the Nordic countries, Finnish Tamro is to purchase Labassco, the second largest laboratory product company in Sweden. Based in Molndal, near Gothenburg, Labassco imports, markets and distributes laboratory supplies and instruments. Its 1995 sales totalled SKr 98 million ($14 million). Labassco will form the fourth unit in Tamro's hospital and laboratory division - the others are Tamro Lab, Tamro Medical and Printel.
