Executive Summary
Home Access Health has filed a countersuit against Saliva Diagnostic Systems claiming that SDS breached their licensing agreement. SDS filed the original suit last January in the Clark County superior court in Washington, US, seeking to terminate the agreement over its saliva collecting device, Omni-SAL, and any other related products. In the counterclaim, Home Access is seeking to recover damages estimated at $1-5 million for breach of contract and unfair competition. SDS says it will vigorously defend the claim (see Clinica No 690, p 15).
