Coherent's UltraPulse laser system has been approved by the Japanese Ministry of Health and Welfare for surgical, cosmetic and dermatological uses. The California, US-based company's laser system will be used for removing skin blemishes, resurfacing aged and sun-damaged skin, eyelid surgery, general surgery, ENT and gynaecology.
