Newly-merged pharmaceutical company Pharmacia & Upjohn has reported a 17% increase in diagnostics sales in 1995 to $253 million. Only $15 million were generated in the US. Allergy diagnostics led growth, largely due to a severe allergy season in Japan, the company says. Diagnostics sales represented just 3.6% of Pharmacia & Upjohn's $6,949 million turnover in 1995.
