Braun Medizin-Technik (Germany) has produced HydroWell to relieve back pain and a variety of secondary symptoms. The patient lies on a mat and places both heels into recesses in the machine which moves the legs from side to side. This results in relaxing wave-like movements through the entire spinal column. The company claims that the product can provide relief from back pain, headaches, muscular stiffness and circulatory problems. The homecare model costs DM 950 ($630) and is available throughout Germany. The company expects to introduce the product in the rest of Europe during the year.
